While miracles are often taken to be something unusual and not well-understood, Dr. Nemeh suggests that miracles are part of the Christian reality. Just as in Jesus’ time, miracles continue today. The video also continues to talk about the suffering Christians face and the tremendous value we provide by overcoming such obstacles.

I have often wondered why Peter carried a sword, as he was the one said to have cut off the ear of the guard who came to take Jesus from the garden of Gethsemane. Dr. Nemeh talked in this video about the apostles not being armed or taking up arms against others. Does Dr. Nemeh explain in any of his talks why Peter carried a sword?
Hi Kimberly, The ear was cut off and reattached by our Savior. ( I can’t even imagine what the guards and high priest were thinking when Jesus reattached the ear. What a pure act of compassion and love!) At that point Jesus said, Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will parish by the sword. (Matt 26:52) I don’t believe I ever read anything in the Bible after that point of any of his followers ever pulling any kind of weapon out. I only remember the time you mentioned in Gethsemane.
God Bless
From, Kimberly G.
